Purpose: Responsible for new business sales of Ancoris cloud computing solutions to the small and medium business sector in the UK

The Opportunity:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop their sales career with a leading cloud services solutions provider.  The SMB segment is one of the fastest growing market sectors in the UK for Google Apps for Business and we expect 2012 to be a year of rapid growth. You will be working in a team environment using state of the art technology and learning best practices for solution sales campaigns in conjunction with the industry’s leading SaaS vendors. This role may particularly suit someone transitioning from success in an Inside Sales role, future career progression could lead to major account sales or team leader roles.

The Role:

The Account Manager works as a key member of the Ancoris team with responsibility for sales in the SMB sector of our messaging, collaboration and security solutions. You will make sales of our cloud computing partners SaaS offerings (including Google Apps for Business, Google Postini Services, Cisco Scansafe) together with Ancoris’s associated deployment, change management and support services.

This is primarily a new business sales role. You will work closely with the Google Enterprise Division’s SMB sector business development team in Dublin who will generate some of your leads, however the selected candidate will also be expected to develop their own leads, opportunities and pipeline in their territory through focused campaigns to existing and new contacts in order to meet and exceed their quota.

Although mainly office and telephone based, the role will involve face-to-face customer meetings as appropriate in the sales cycle, supported by Ancoris management and deployment specialists. Regular meetings will also be held with our partners at Google (Dublin and London) and Cisco Scansafe.

Our training arm Cloud Skills is the only Google Referral Training Partner outside of the USA. All our consultants are Google Certified Deployment Specialists and we offer a unique comprehensive range of deployment, change management, training and support services.

In November  2011,  Ancoris was recognised as the Specialist Reseller of the Year 2011 at the UK industry CRN Channel Awards for their work with leading cloud vendors Google and Scansafe. In order to continue our planned expansion, we are looking to add an Account Manager to our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attain quarterly and annual prospecting and revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain a sufficient pipeline in line with revenue goals.
  • Forecasting and activity management using CRM system
  • Maintain current and accurate account, contact and opportunity information within CRM system
  • Manage existing accounts to maximize sales revenue through upsell and cross-sell, monitor customer satisfaction and contract renewals.
  • Prepare and present proposals and sales quotes.
  • Work closely and develop effective relationships with your peers at our cloud vendors to ensure maximum revenue generation within a territory.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must be educated to graduate standard (1st class or 2nd class Hons degree desirable)
  • 2+ year’s IT sales/lead generation experience with at least one year of success in closing business personally in a Telesales/Telemarketing/Inside Sales capacity.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding measurable goals in a metrics based phone sales environment.
  • Excellent prospecting and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of business organisations, buying influences and purchasing processes.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Very strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic, ability to adapt and develop in a high-growth environment
  • Able to work in a team and on own initiative
  • Highly motivated and committed
  • Able to work to agreed deadlines and respond quickly, clearly and accurately under pressure
  • Previous business applications or IT Security sales background are of additional benefit, but must come from a solutions sales background.
