This service migrates the customer from their existing legacy mail server (e.g. Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell Groupwise) to Google Apps Email with the interactive assistance of experienced Google Apps technical specialists. Stage 1 - Google Apps Activation and Email Suitability Assessment

The Ancoris Suitability Assessment service provisions and configures a standalone Google Apps Premier Account and configures up to 10 email addresses on your company domain with dual delivery to both your existing mail-server* and to Google Apps Email. This allows you to assess the suitability of Google Apps Email without affecting your corporate email.

Initial Deploy

Stage 2 - Google Apps Email Initial Deployment

Following a successful Suitability Assessment the customer decides to proceed with deployment of Google Apps Email, the next stage is an initial deployment with a representative sample of users to assess any specific factors to be considered in the full deployment. Initial deployment users are migrated to Google Apps Email.

Full Deploy (SME)

Either Stage 3 - Google Apps Full Deployment (Small and Medium Business)

Following the initial deployment the experience is assessed and the project plan for the final user migration is put in place. A communication plan is put in place, the users are migrated and trained in the new Google Apps Suite.

For larger Enterprise accounts who may have multiple mail-servers, internet gateways and distributed user groups a phased approach may be necessary. By fronting the Google Apps Email service with the advanced intelligent routing capabilities of either Google Message Discovery or Google Message Security, the migration process can be phased more easily. This also allows a more comprehensive and granular email security policy to be deployed

* For mail-servers supporting auto-forwarding to external contacts
** Customers can choose to migrate historical data into Google Apps Email, to leave in the legacy mail-server or to ingest into Google's Archiving Service (Google Message Discovery). Data migration is an optional extra for Ancoris standard migration services.
