Ancoris has an experienced leadership team with backgrounds in enterprise IT software, hardware and services businesses including IBM, Lotus, Sequent, Cisco, Nortel, CSC and others. This broad range of skills gives us a deep understanding of what it takes to move from on an premise infrastructure to a cloud and mobile computing environment.
A software engineer by background with a degree in Computer Science with Mathematics from University of Bristol, I started my career in development with Logica. I then spent over a decade in sales and senior general management positions with pioneering open systems and infrastructure software vendors including Sequent (IBM), Data General (EMC) and NetIQ.
Involved with Software-as-a-Service since 1999, I was VP Sales and Engineering at NetStore, UK’s first ‘Application Service Provider’, delivering multi-tenanted hosted messaging services based on Microsoft Exchange. I was part of the executive management team who took the company from start-up to flotation on the London Stock Exchange.
Since founding Ancoris in 2003, I have led the company through its development as a leading Google Cloud Premier Partner and one of the few pure-play cloud services providers in the UK.
A keen sailor, I’m found on the water most weekends, either racing competitively or more relaxed cruising with family and friends.
I have over 25 years experience of leading Service organisations at a worldwide, European and UK level and joined Ancoris in 2011 to lead our services organisation, covering project delivery, consultancy, support, training and software development.
Prior to joining Ancoris, I was Operations Director at Kroll OnTrack, providing technology-driven services and software for e-discovery into “Magic Circle” Law firms, and my experience also includes running Managed Desktop Services delivery across Europe at CSC Computer Sciences Corp (now DXC); delivering anti money laundering projects into global banks at Searchspace (including introducing one of the first SaaS offerings in the marketplace), service product management leadership at IBM and Global support leadership at Sequent (now IBM).
Outside of work, I’m a keen follower of most things rugby related having played or trained teams for many years (though hung up my boots a few years ago), spend time riding my motorbike or playing very random golf.
After starting my career with Severn Trent Water as a Civil & Structural Engineer, I took the opportunity to indulge my passion for disruptive technology by spending 4 years at BT’s research and development centre, focussed on collaborative technologies for virtual teams.
My Google Enterprise journey started in 2006, at Taylor Woodrow, where I implemented the original - on-premise - Google Search Appliance. Following that, and early in 2008, I implemented the first large private-sector deployment of Google Apps for Business. Since then, I have worked with Google Premier Partners and in-house at companies such as Jaguar Land Rover and Tarmac, driving their Digital Transformation strategy into reality.
My goal at Ancoris is to ensure that all our customers realise all the benefits of Google Cloud, whilst ensuring that they align with their strategy, priorities and transformation aspirations.
Outside of work, I mentor and coach Gaelic football to the youngest members of St Brendan’s GAA club in Birmingham. I am still on my first marriage, and with Emma we are in the process of raising 5 children.
I have over 20 years experience of leading Enterprise sales teams at a Worldwide, European and UK level.
Prior to joining Ancoris, I was AVP UK Sales at Acquia a provider of Open Source Social Business Software running on AWS. My prior experience also includes roles as Sales Director, Manufacturing at HP Software, RVP Northern Europe at Progress Software, SVP Sales and Marketing at Volantis, UK MD at Candle and Business Unit Director at Sequent (now IBM).
I hold a B.Eng.( Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and Management Sciences from University of Sheffield
I have nearly 20 years of experience building Enterprise data platforms, having worked for market leading companies including 12 years at Goldman Sachs and 5 years with Tier-1 consultancy, AlixPartners. I strive to help companies simplify the management of their data, remove data silos and generate actionable insights that really make a difference. I have worked across a number of industry areas including Financial Services, Retail, eDiscovery and Media and have advised leading brands including Sainsburys, Lloyds Banking Group and The Guardian on their data warehousing strategy.
Enabling effective data analytics demands a multi-disciplinary approach, and I am fortunate to have gained experience spanning many disciplines including data warehousing, modelling, governance, strategy, architecture, analytics, data science and software engineering, as well as the ability to lead effective delivery teams.
A keen gardener, I’m often found either in the garden or on our family allotment where we (try) and grow all sorts of things from grapes and asparagus to pumpkins for halloween.
My background is in software development across a variety of industries, technologies and roles within both multi-national and start-up organisations. I lead our Google Cloud product and custom development teams.
I joined Ancoris as Head of Development from Datasift, a leading provider of social data analytics platforms, where I was Program Manager. My career includes roles in software engineering and management at companies including Hitachi Data Systems, Samsung and Nokia.
I hold a MEng, Electronic Engineering, 1st Class from the University of Nottingham. Away from work, I enjoy playing the drums in a covers band, “delighting” audiences at local pubs, weddings and even the odd festival!
I lead our user enablement services including training, change management and our end-user support tool, the Cloud Skills Academy. I also help customers to deliver social and collaborative platforms using Google Sites and Cluster (formerly Google+).
I joined Ancoris in 2012 following the acquisition of Cloud Skills, the leading G Suite training company, which I co-founded in 2009. I have over 20 years experience in training and learning development, and I am APMG qualified in Change Management.
In my spare time, I love adventure travel and am a keen photographer and scuba diver. Closer to home, I love music, especially attending live concerts and festivals.
I started using G Suite (then known as Google Apps) as far back as 2008 and joined Ancoris in 2009. I am proud to hold one of the first 15 Google Apps certifications issued worldwide. Prior to joining Ancoris, I was IT Systems Leader at Global Radio .
My role is to lead and coach our friendly and knowledgeable support team and manage our Internal IT. I also chair the Ancoris team building committee and love organising our quarterly events - from bubble football to ice karting, murder mystery nights and pottery painting, there’s plenty to keep us entertained.
I am a self-certified geek with a passion for new technologies and movies.
I am responsible for finding ways to improve internal performance and productivity as well as inform our customers about the art of the possible with Google Cloud.
I joined Ancoris in 2010, having previously been Commercial Program Manager, Emerging Markets for Cisco. Former roles include senior marketing management roles at Nortel, Peak Technologies, Requisite and AST Computer (now Samsung).
I have a degree in Modern Languages from Université d’Angers in France where I grew up and fell in love with the English language. When I am not at work, I love socialising and leisure sailing (ideally in warm climates!).
