After a lot of hard work, planning and preparation, we are pleased to share that Ancoris has been recognised as an ISO 27001 certified company after a successful audit by the British Assessment Bureau, the UK’s leading ISO Certification Body.
ISO 27001 is an international standard that provides a framework for an Information Security Management System to help organisations protect their assets. It complements Cyber Essentials Plus which helps organisations protect themselves against the most common cyber threats.
Commenting on the results of the audit, our Director of Operations and Services Martin Lee said, “This certification is the latest milestone in our roadmap and demonstrates Ancoris is committed to continuously evolving its security posture and practices. The team at Ancoris has always been dedicated to providing the highest levels of security and compliance, and we’re very happy to have our ISO 27001 certification to help demonstrate that”.
Security underpins every single thing we do at Ancoris, whether it's through delivering value via our expertise in Data and AI, Application and Cloud Infrastructure & Modernisation, Workspace and Maps, or in Managed Security Services specifically. Certifications like ISO 27001 demonstrate this for both Ancoris and its customers, which is crucial in this age of cloud and cyber attacks.
There are tremendous benefits for customers who adopt cloud technologies and make them a larger part of their everyday operations but there are also challenges when it comes to security. Some of the ‘tried and tested’ approaches and methodologies from the past need to be adapted to fit the current landscape. The rate of change and evolution is also increasing which means flexibility and access to the right knowledge at the right time is more important than ever. It’s why we feel so strongly about security and continuing to get it right.

A huge thank you goes out to the British Assessment Bureau for conducting our audit plus to our entire team (especially Sue Fabré, Joseph Parkin and Louisa Howell) who work incredibly hard to maintain the highest levels of Information Security.
